以賽亞書 28：28-29

28 他也不會不停地使用風車，造成麥子的損害。他知道怎樣趕車，輕輕地滾過麥堆，使麥糠跟麥子分開，不致損壞麥子。
29 這種智慧都是上主—萬軍的統帥賜給他的。上帝的計畫多麼奇妙；他的智慧多麼浩大！

谷類處理過程
如果農夫只做一個環節的工作，就不可能作出面包。因此必須把收成的谷物送到打谷場，用牛蹄碾碎（申二十五4），之後再用碾輪壓過一次。這里所說的「碌碡」是一種器具，上面有好幾排輪子。谷粒從殼分出來以後必須要簸揚、篩選，然後交給婦女放在石磨里，磨成細面粉，好用來烤面包。
