貓頭鷹與烏鴉
此處的悉數毀滅的象征，是那些以在荒野居住或覓食聞名的鳥類（伯三十八41；詩一○二6）已經棲身於城鎮的廢墟（見：賽十三22）。同樣的描繪見於埃及的《奈費爾蒂的異象》（約主前2000年），講到埃及是如此的弱勢，「奇形怪狀的鳥靠近人築巢」，而且「沙漠的畜群要在尼羅河飲水」。
