Gary Chan serves as the Chairperson of Free Community Church, the only open and LGBTIQ+-affirming church in Singapore, where he helps nurture a community grounded in radical welcome, courageous discipleship, and the Imago Dei reflected in every person. He also directs Amplify, a regional ministry strengthening inclusive Christian communities and equipping leaders across Asia Pacific to build churches where people and ministries can truly flourish.

Rev. Dr. Ouyang was born and raised in Malaysia. He later pursued further studies in the United States. His academic training spans sociology and theology, and he is the first openly gay pastor in Asia to hold a doctorate in theology. Currently, he teaches gender studies at the City University of New York and sociology at St. Peter's Catholic University. He is also the senior pastor of All Souls Bethlehem Church in New York.
