8 「這樣，我就喜歡你們，像晨曦那樣照耀你們；你們的創傷就能立刻得醫治。我要隨時搭救你們。
9 你們禱告，我一定應允；你們呼求，我一定答應。 「假如你們停止欺壓人，指責人，毀謗人；
10 假如你們給飢餓的人吃，使窮困的人得滿足，你們四周的黑暗將變成光明，黑夜將成為白晝。

8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
10 if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.

指摘人的指頭 古代世界里，以手指指人，和正式的指控有關（如漢摩拉比法典所載）。兆頭文獻中，把這手勢和咒詛的力量連在一起，這里則是表示惡意誹謗。
