耶利米書7章1-2節

1 耶和華的話臨到耶利米，說：
2 「你當站在耶和華殿的門口，在那裏宣講這話說：所有從這些門進來敬拜耶和華的猶大人哪，當聽耶和華的話。

2 “Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all you men of Judah who enter these gates to worship the LORD.
今天的經文，一般認為這篇講道在約雅敬即位後不久講出，時間大概是西元前608年。約雅敬已經准許百姓回到異教崇拜的信仰。希西家年間，神蹟式的擊退亞述王西拿基立，更是讓大家認為耶路撒冷有聖殿，所以不可能被攻陷。上主派耶利米宣告不要以為有聖殿就可以平安，必須真實的改變惡行。
