耶利米書10章6-10節

10:6 上主啊，沒有人能跟你相比；你真偉大，你的聖名大有能力。
10:7 你是萬國的君王，誰不敬畏？你應受尊崇。列國的智者和君王沒有一個比得上你。
10:8 他們都愚蠢無知；他們能從木頭偶像學到什麼呢？
10:9 他們的偶像鑲著從他施進口的銀，從烏法輸入的金，都是木匠、銀匠的創作；它們穿著藍色、紫色的衣服，都是巧匠的作品。
10:10 上主啊，唯有你是真神，是永生的上帝，永恆的君王。你一震怒，大地震動；你的怒氣使萬國站立不住。

10:6 There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might.
10:7 Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you.
10:8 They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood!
10:9 Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz. They are the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith; their clothing is violet and purple; they are all the work of skilled men.
10:10 But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.
今天的經文中，說明上主和列國的偶像不同，因為上帝真是造物者，而其他偶像僅僅是木頭。我們是否真正認知上帝是超越政權之上的存在？是這個世界上一切有力的政權、美妙的藝術也無法比擬的存在？
