耶利米書11章9-13節

11:9 上主又對我說：「猶大和耶路撒冷人陰謀背叛我。
11:10 他們又犯祖先所犯的罪，不聽從我的話，去拜別的神明。以色列和猶大都破壞了我與他們祖先立的約。
11:11 所以，我—上主這樣警告他們：我要毀滅他們，他們無法逃脫。他們向我哀求，我不聽。
11:12 那時候，猶大和耶路撒冷人要轉向他們供奉過的神明，向它們哀求。但是那些神明絕不能救他們脫離這災難。
11:13 猶大人的神明跟他們的城鎮一樣多；耶路撒冷人為那可恥的巴力所造的祭壇也跟他們的街道一樣多。

11:9 Again the LORD said to me, “A conspiracy exists among the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
11:10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant that I made with their fathers.
11:11 Therefore, thus says the LORD, Behold, I am bringing disaster upon them that they cannot escape. Though they cry to me, I will not listen to them.
11:12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they make offerings, but they cannot save them in the time of their trouble.
11:13 For your gods have become as many as your cities, O Judah, and as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to shame, altars to make offerings to Baal.
今天的經文，上主對耶利米說：猶大人也跟他們的先祖一樣背叛神，敬拜別神，所以上帝一定讓災禍臨到，使百姓無法逃脫。
