耶利米書14章13-16節

14:13 我說：「至高的上主啊，先知預言沒有戰爭，沒有饑荒。他們說，你允許我們在自己的土地上享受太平。」
14:14 但是上主說：「那些先知假借我的名撒謊。其實，我並沒有差他們，也沒有命令他們或向他們說過一句話。他們的異象不是我給的；他們的預言只是他們自己的幻想。
14:15 所以，我—上主這樣告訴你：我要對付那些不是我差派的假先知；他們假借我的名預言這地方不會有戰爭，不會有饑荒。可是我要用戰爭和饑荒消滅他們。
14:16 那些聽他們說預言的人也要遭遇同樣的結局。他們的屍體，連同他們妻子兒女的屍體，都要被拋棄在耶路撒冷街上，沒有人埋葬。我要他們因自己的邪惡遭受報應。」

14:13 Then I said: “Ah, Lord GOD, behold, the prophets say to them, ‘You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.’”
14:14 And the LORD said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.
14:15 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not come upon this land’: By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.
14:16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, with none to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.
今天的經文中，耶利米先知哀嘆假先知迷惑猶大人，上帝說明假先知和聽假先知的百姓都要遭到最嚴重的懲罰。此處上帝判定假先知有罪。不過上帝也沒有憐憫那些聽假先知講他們喜歡聽的預言的百姓，這對我們來說是個提醒，聽人講道時，也要慎思明辨，因為不是每次都說「我不知道」就沒事了。
