耶利米書15章5-9節

15:5 上主說：耶路撒冷人哪，誰會可憐你們？誰會為你們悲傷？誰會轉身向你們問好？
15:6 你們背離了我；你們轉身不理我。所以我要伸手擊碎你們；我不再抑制自己的忿怒。
15:7 我要在境內各城鎮像篩糠秕一樣把你們篩散。我的子民哪，我要消滅你們；我要殺你們的兒女，因為你們還不悔改；
15:8 你們境內的寡婦要比海沙多。我殺年輕力壯的青年人，使他們的母親悲痛。我以痛苦、驚恐突擊她們。
15:9 那喪失七個兒女的母親暈倒了；她喘不過氣來。她的希望完全幻滅；她受羞辱，失望狼狽。我要讓敵人殺滅殘存的人。我—上主這樣宣布了。

15:5 “Who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem, or who will grieve for you? Who will turn aside to ask about your welfare?
15:6 You have rejected me, declares the LORD; you keep going backward, so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you— I am weary of relenting.
15:7 I have winnowed them with a winnowing fork in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them; I have destroyed my people; they did not turn from their ways.
15:8 I have made their widows more in number than the sand of the seas; I have brought against the mothers of young men a destroyer at noonday; I have made anguish and terror fall upon them suddenly.
15:9 She who bore seven has grown feeble; she has fainted away; her sun went down while it was yet day; she has been shamed and disgraced. And the rest of them I will give to the sword before their enemies, declares the LORD.”
