耶利米書18章18-23節

18:18 於是人民說：「來吧，我們來對付耶利米！我們隨時有祭司教導我們，有智者輔導我們，有先知傳達上帝的信息。我們來指控耶利米，不要再聽他的話。」
18:19 因此我禱告：「上主啊，求你垂聽我的陳訴，聽聽敵人指控我的話。
18:20 良善應得惡報嗎？他們挖陷阱要害我。求你想一想，我在你面前替他們哀求過；我曾經求你不要在烈怒中對付他們。
18:21 但現在呢？上主啊，我求你：讓他們的兒女餓死；讓他們戰死；讓他們的女人喪夫失子；讓他們的壯丁死於瘟疫，年輕人橫屍沙場。
18:22 求你差派掠奪者突然來到，洗劫他們的家園，使他們驚恐哀號；因為他們挖陷阱要謀害我，張羅網要抓我。
18:23 上主啊，你知道他們殺害我的陰謀。不要饒恕他們的惡行；不要赦免他們的罪過。求你使他們在你面前絆倒；求你在烈怒下懲罰他們。」

18:18 Then they said, “Come, let us make plots against Jeremiah, for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not pay attention to any of his words.”
18:19 Hear me, O LORD, and listen to the voice of my adversaries.
18:20 Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for my life. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.
18:21 Therefore deliver up their children to famine; give them over to the power of the sword; let their wives become childless and widowed. May their men meet death by pestilence, their youths be struck down by the sword in battle.
18:22 May a cry be heard from their houses, when you bring the plunderer suddenly upon them! For they have dug a pit to take me and laid snares for my feet.
18:23 Yet you, O LORD, know all their plotting to kill me. Forgive not their iniquity, nor blot out their sin from your sight. Let them be overthrown before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.
今天的經文，先知的敵人再次謀害耶利米，耶利米痛責這些人是恩將仇報，求上帝為他伸冤。
