耶利米書23章33-40節

23:33 上主對我說：「耶利米呀，如果我的子民，或先知，或祭司問你：『上主有什麼信息？』你要告訴他：『你們是上主的重擔；他要擺脫你們。』
23:34 要是有先知、祭司，或我的子民使用『上主的重擔』這句話，我就懲罰他和他全家的人。
23:35 各人應該問他的朋友鄰居：『上主有什麼回答？上主說了什麼？』
23:36 他們不可再用『上主的重擔』這句話；誰再用，我就把我的信息變成他的重擔。他們已經濫用他們的上帝—上主、萬軍的統帥、永生上帝的話語了。
23:37 耶利米呀，你要問那班先知：『上主對你們有什麼回答？上主向你們說了什麼？』
23:38 要是他們違背我的命令，用『上主的重擔』這句話，你就告訴他們，
23:39 我一定把他們當作重擔提起來，把他們連同我賜給他們和他們祖先的城都從我面前拋出去。
23:40 我要他們長久蒙羞，永受難忘的恥辱。」

23:33 “When one of this people, or a prophet or a priest asks you, ‘What is the burden of the LORD?’ you shall say to them, ‘You are the burden, and I will cast you off, declares the LORD.’
23:34 And as for the prophet, priest, or one of the people who says, ‘The burden of the LORD,’ I will punish that man and his household.
23:35 Thus shall you say, every one to his neighbor and every one to his brother, ‘What has the LORD answered?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
23:36 But ‘the burden of the LORD’ you shall mention no more, for the burden is every man’s own word, and you pervert the words of the living God, the LORD of hosts, our God.
23:37 Thus you shall say to the prophet, ‘What has the LORD answered you?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
23:38 But if you say, ‘The burden of the LORD,’ thus says the LORD, ‘Because you have said these words, “The burden of the LORD,” when I sent to you, saying, “You shall not say, ‘The burden of the LORD,’”
23:39 therefore, behold, I will surely lift you up and cast you away from my presence, you and the city that I gave to you and your fathers.
23:40 And I will bring upon you everlasting reproach and perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.’”
今天的經文是上帝要禁止使用「上主的重擔（某些版本翻譯為：耶和華的默示）」這個詞，並且要忘記猶大人以報應他們忘記神。
